Teach Soap

Hello,

I want to create an essential oil blend and thought I had Menthol EO only to find I don't but have lots of menthol crystals. Can I create my EO blend and add the menthol crystals to it? According to this site they are soluble in EO's: http://www.camdengrey.com/essential-oil ... stals.html

Second question how much should I add to my blend. I'm making a 2.5 oz blend of EO's (for a 2.75 pound of oils batch of soap that will make over 4 pounds) and I know from using menthol crystals for salves that a little goes a long way but I've never used in soap. If I like the blend I'd like to use it in lotion as well.

If I can't do that then I'll just use Peppermint EO as I read menthol is extracted from Peppermint.

You will need very little menthol in your EO's, otherwise it will overtake your blend. For a blend that has 2.5 ozs. of EO's, I would use 0.01 of menthol.
