Hey guys,

Firstly I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum :|

I have a 5 year old autistic son, whose absolutely amazing and, quite hilarious! He's growing and, learning exceptionally well, thanks to the services provided for him. None of that could be accomplished without organizations like YAI and, AutismSpeaks. I've participated in YAI's walk/run/play Central Park challenge but, yesterday I couldn't participate in AutismSpeaks walk in NYC, since I was really sick... still am and, can't figure out why.

But for the few hours, in the middle of the night (2am) where I felt ok, I decided I would make some soaps in honor of AutismSpeaks and, for Wesley. For my small (very small  ) growing business, I've had these ideas of having a line of soaps, buttons, shirts and, other items that would be strictly for helping support the Autism cause. Meaning that 50% of everything bought in that line would go to either YAI orAutismSpeaks as a donation! :D

If you don't know the symbol used for Autism is a puzzle piece. AutismSpeaks use to have different color pieces but, has stayed with a light blue piece. Soooo, I've been looking and, looking for a puzzle piece mold.. or even cookie cutter. Finally I found one on Nature's Garden Candles! It's cute, guest size molds though.. but still exactly what I'm looking for.. so I have two molds. I made two of each fragrance; Iced Pineapple, Pomegranate, Black Raspberry Vanilla and, Strawberry Kiwi. I decided to add something since this is very special to me. I added a little heart to each piece.

Sorry for the long story to this :) I hope you enjoy them!

A singular piece: (Iced Pineapple)

And What I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! about this mold. the pieces fit together which when I sell them in 2's and 4's I want to have them fitted together.. From left to right; Kiwi Strawberry (so I made it dual colored), Iced Pineapple, Black Raspberry Vanilla and, Pomegranate!

If you want to know:
I used Shea Butter MP to make the hearts, adding Light Gold Mica (From BrambleBerry) unscented
Clear MP to seal in the hearts also unscented. I also used Clear MP to make the pieces and Light Gold Mica
A few varying colorants to get the colors I wanted to match the F/O's
The Fragrances and Molds were bought from Nature's Garden Candle's- I love that they list the amount of Vanillin in each F/O but, my vanilla color stabilizer is from BB..
Later!

Those are great soaps and I love that you want to donate proceeds to one of the autism groups. My cousin has a child with autism and I know how difficult it can be for the parents, and also how rewarding. :D

Thank you guys!

And to ljm1180, it feels like I have an obligation, right and, privilege to make people aware of autism through my business and, if I'm going to do that it makes sense to donate in this way.

Wishing your cousin and his/her little one all the best.. it definitely does have its moments!! :)
