Hi everyone,

Getting ready to venture out and try to make some Christmas soap, can you share your favorite ?

Too many out there ! I can't decide !

Thanks,

We sell a ton of cranberry, peppermint and ginger around the Christmas season. A lot of sweeter 'cookie' type scents do good as well. These are my favorite all year round though!

There is a Christmas sampler kit here; this way you can try them out before getting in larger quantities.

Last year I did peppermint, hot cocoa and an evergreen scent. And I did melt and pour with a grapefruit. They were all welcomed by the friends and family so that I will do much the same this year. I may try a roasted chestnut... just to change it up a little.

I love the Christmas Tree scents not the others, I get sick from the scent of peppermint :) I just got one from BB called Christmas Tree, I love it in the bottle but have not tried it in CP yet, I will by next week 8)

please let us know how that scent turns out. Last year I did the woodland elves and my husband plus someother family members really liked it. I used the juniper sage this summer and that was my preferred one but don't think it has that strong 'christmas tree' smell to it. As of right now I would easily choose to make either one again.

I made it two days ago and LOVE it! It just smells like Christmas, I had one called Winter Wonderland, but it discolored to pink :( everyone loved the smell but pink, not so much :) it did not discolor my soap to date, it is still nice and white. The scent was not too strong in the bottle so I was worried that it would get lost in the cp soap, but it did not, it seems even stronger now. I did not gel, never gel when hoping for white soap. My house smells like Christmas. I used 4 oz fo to 6 lbs of cp the fo is called Christmas Tree it is a Cybilla Fragrance. Also loved the Pumpkin one, and it did not overly discolor my soap, still wish it would stay orange, but I will have to deal.

File comment: This is the pumpkin, but now the orange is a light tan/brown.

File comment: Not the best pic, and these still need to be hand painted. Just wanted to show the white and that is all natural.

Selena, Thanks for the update! I will add that to my list of fragrances to try. I can see why you would have like the pumpkin to stay orange... what a fantastic color. The other reminds me of a winter lodge... I know sometimes I have a strange imagination! What are you going to paint on them?

I love Peppermint soap for Christmas..it just screams holidays to me. This is my first holiday actually selling (not just to friends and family) I did..Cranberry balsam, Peppermint, a fresh snow/pine, winterberries, frosted spruceberry and have yet to make a winter wonderland. I hope it's enough..we shall see!!

I have an FO called Christmas Wreath that I got from WSP. It smells very piney OOB. (in a nice way, not like Pine-sol!) I'm hoping to make some CP with it next week. Hope the scent holds. 8)
