I knew the FO was prone to accelerate, and thought I could compensate (low temps, used tallow).
Alas, no.
I packed some of it in a couple of small molds. Its not very pretty, but i think it will be nice soap, just not very pretty.
So i tried putting a bit in the microwave. I was using LabColors, and had a bit in a measuring cup with the LC on top. (Soap was pretty much completely set up by this time.) The LC was foaming at the top of the soap when I took it out, which did actually make is easy to stir. It was about the consistency of applesauce, so I crammed it into a couple more small molds. It started doing odd things - either oil or water separating at the top. And it got really, really, hot. The heat increased after it came out of the microwave. I did take a picture but it's late and I don't feel up to wrestling with technology at the moment.
So, is this something that can be saved by some rebatch method? I've never tried it before.
Thanks for the ideas.
Anita
P.S. On the whole, I wish I had gone ahead with the GM, cream and egg yolk soap rather than this "simple" one!
