Teach Soap

I'm just stopping in to say hello.

My name is Jennifer and I live in southeastern PA. I've been making MP soap and soy candles & tarts for about a year. Currently I'm selling at local craft shows a few times a year and I have home shows at my house in the Spring and in the Fall. I also have a small group of items on consignment at a local country store that is doing quite well.

I just purchased a few pounds of re-batch soap from BB and experimenting with the CP soap for the first time. The two sample bars I poured this afternoon I'm not too happy with. I don't like the appearance of the sample bars, but I'm going to experiment with the base in a loaf mold and slice it rather than use the smaller individual molds. I'm a MP soaper, and really didn't want to mess with CP but then I saw the re-batch bases and I just had to try it.

Rebatch base will not pour as smooth as MP or cold process.

I would make a loaf from it. Make it a little bit bigger so you can bevel off the rough sides or edges.
