Try this blend. It's in "parts" so you can make whatever size you like. You can leave the ginger out if you don't have it. Try this blend on q-tips and see how you like it. The nutmeg really makes this blend pop. I haven't tried elemi in a blend like this. I would make a tea and use that instead of water to get a color without using anything else.

Cardamom 1
Cinnamon Leaf 1
Clove Bud 3
Ginger 1
Nutmeg 8
Vanilla 1

Thanks Irena! I might try this blend! Looks amazing.

I might have to make a run to the grocery store for some sample sized EOs as I just discovered I'm out of clove. I think they "might" have nutmeg or ginger too.

Otherwise I'll have to wait until I place my next order for some supplies. (Was hoping to make something tonight but alas, patience!)

You're welcome Karri. Clove and spice oils tends to accelerate trace, so for this batch you might want to use a stainless whisk instead of a stick blender.

Good point ;)

I've recently discovered my "favorite" soaping temp (with the recipe I've been using) to be 110-120 ... do you think I'll have to soap at a lower temp with these types of EOs?

The CO and PO should remain liquid I'm thinking, but I like to use 5-10% shea or cocoa butter in my recipes. So those might want to set up on me ... though I'm not sure I recall this happening in the past with lower temps but...

I soaped my chai blend pretty cool because I was worried about accelerated trace -- somewhere in the 80's, though I didn't really mean for it to get that cold -- and it actually took a while to trace  But -- there were no butters in it, so I'm not sure how those would fare. I do soap as low as 90 degrees with my shea and cocoa butter, though, and it doesn't seem to be a problem :)

So while that EO blend sounds amazing, the cost scares me... that would be one super duper expensive bar of soap. Though it would make a nice Christmas present for someone!
