I think that's just an oversight - castor is actually the least ingredient of that recipe (per her tutorial on the SQ blog anyway).

Karri this is the most beautiful soap and the fro sounds tooooo yummy! I love the translucent feel to it in contrast to the color so nice. The yin and yan look of the photo is so professional

@Soapbuddy I too noticed the castor oil it is curious. I love the melon faux funnel swirl colors and all!

Well I haven't posted on here in ages, I have just finished a mega soaping session and I love, love, LOVE this Soap cake I have just finished, It smells lovely, normally I hate Rose scents, but this is Tea Rose, it's much more delicate! I will slice it into 8 pieces when it's fully cured, and sell it per slice!



Sorry about the size, I tried 3 times to resize it!

This was an upgrade to my previous cupcake soaps, which sell like Hot Cakes (LOL)



Will post the pictures of the cake slices as soon as I can!

@soaphel - WOWEEE!! Those are beautiful! Is Tea Rose an EO or RO? It sounds so lovely. The peachy/pink COLOR is just amazing. How did you achieve that?

The Tea Rose is a FO, I am in the UK so I doubt giving you the supplier would help, the colour is one I found which is simply called Opaque Crimson Red, I only added a small amount, just a couple of drops really. I have replaced one of the rosebuds (the one that looks a bit brown) as I didn't notice it until after I took the photo.

Beautiful cake and I really like the rose petals also! How much does a slice weigh? The fro sounds so feminine to go with the colors!

I have no idea how much the slices weigh as yet, this is my first ever whole cake, I used a kilo (2lbs) of oils if that helps, I will weigh the slices when I cut it tomorrow and report back!

The rose petals really make the cake imo, they are a deeper red than the rosebuds which are more of a pink. I just hope they stay a nice colour and don't turn brown, I've never had a problem with the rosebuds in my cupcakes, maybe because they are on top of the soap rather than mixed into it. The scent is so delicate and feminine, I just love it.

my first embeds. Didn't turn out like I wanted. I should have made a larger batch of soap to put them in and more white for the top. They do smell good though. I used Lick me all over FO which is a very good Fragrance. I used a new silicone loap mold and the size is nice. I just should have went with a 3 lb batch.
