Good job on the spoon swirl spoon swirls jrose! That's one method I haven't tried yet as it's time consuming.

jrose, this is soo funny! A few months ago I did a spoon swirl in green and natural and used the wasabi FO! Mine looks almost identical to yours

I LOVE the wasabi scent-definitely one of my favorites and I hope BB doesn't discontinue it. :D

soapmaiden your GM soap turned out great. I agree with you about how it makes your skin feel. I use a 100% olive oil made with GM as a facial soap and it makes my skin so soft.

All the soaps are so pretty. I love the shell swirls. and the spoon swirl.

I did my first column swirl yesterday and I really like the colors and the FO was Rice Flower and Shea mixed with some Sandlewood and Bergomot and White tea. Very nice smell.

Made some pumpkins and leaves for fall hand soaps and some French lavender. I will take pics of them tomorrow.
I was wanting to make a black and white swirl but when I added yLang Ginger FO it turned the batter yellow. I will take a pic of that too.

Newest soaps from Friday.
French Lavender and Ylang Ginger. They smell yummy and the only thing I wish now was I had a nice soap cutter.
Some pics also of the soap molds me and my best friend/soaper made together last week too.

Very nice, BAMA! You have been busy. Love the purple in the French Lavender, and the swirls in the Ylang Ginger are fabulous. The pumpkins and leaves are super cute, too. It's so cool that you and your friend make your own molds! I am woefully unhandy, so I have never tried to build my own. It would probably just end badly.

Thank you. the fig preserves are yummy too. I used activated charcoal from BB for the black swirl. I did a slab mold for that one. I really wanted just my purple on top but I should have let it trace a bit more before i pour it. It was still to light and so I just swirled it. I am learning.
Trying to get a little ahead before Christmas. I don't sell but all my family wants soaps. I have 3 of my sisters coming in Sept and they want lessons and soap. Sure is fun and a good excuse to make more soap. In fact I need to go to wallmart and get some more CO so I can make a batch of Chamomille this evening. I already have the flowers cooked

The molds are easy or I couldn't do it. I just decided how wide I wanted my soap to be and bought a 8 in wide board at Lowes and got them to rip it down to to that size plus the size of the sides time two. You can put your recipe in the summerbee meadow soap calc and resize it to the retangle size you want it to be on the inside and cut your board leaving the board on the end times two and drill away to attach. I used hinges from Michaels to make the sides drop down for easy removal. They work great. I used large screws that pull in and out instead of wood pegs to hold together at the top. Very inexpensive.
My friend ordered a pattern to make a soap cutter. Her brother said he can make it. We can't afford the 300 dollar ones. I will let you all know how that turns out. She still hadn't got her pattern on Fri.
