Teach Soap

Hi everyone. We have a new soaper on our Melt & Pour Soap Crafters facebook page who is looking to start off by buying small amounts of bases from craft/hobby stores. She has asked whether any of us have any experience with Hobby Craft Spa soap bases ... as we're in Australia (largely) we don't have the experience to offer her advice or an opinion. Our first suggestion was to buy from Bramble Berry but she doesn't want to buy online as she is initially looking at small amounts to see if she likes it.
Is there anyone on the forum who may be able to help with some shopping advice?

I am not from the Uk but when I first started I bought from Panduro hobby thats in the Uk here is the web pagehttp://www.pandurohobby.co.uk/pan/I ... ?p=IXS220R hope this help:) this is not the best bases but good to start with

Soap Kitchen has a good range. I'd recommend them for soap base. They also do palm-free which is the one I always go for. (Figure there's no point damaging the environment if there's a feasible alternative!).

For other UK supplies...

Of a Simple Nature is a very dangerous place to shop... I find myself wanting to buy EVERYTHING!

Aromantics is also good, and Sensory Perfection is good for some funky fragrance oils.

I think I started a UK Suppliers thread on here somewhere... some while back... to share what people found...

The other place I can recommend is http://thegreenrange.co.uk/. I've shopped there once twice and also bought supplies from http://www.soaposh.co.uk/.
