I'm a newbie from the deep hot south. I am getting into this whole soap thing! I have friends with a goat farm, so I have an unlimited source of goats milk. I've made cheese and yogurt but both go bad and you can't really sell them. Making soap solves that. Most everybody uses soap every once in a while and it won't spoil like cheese. You'll be seeing a good bit of me around here I think. I hope I don't annoy. :lol:

Hi, jsanders, and welcome! I'm in the deep hot South, too, and I can't wait for summer to be over. The good news is that I've got lots of nice soaps for all of those extra showers! How nice to have a constant supply of goat's milk for your soaps - looking forward to seeing your soapy creations.

Hi Jsanders from Alabama, welcome! I have always wanted to know how to make cheese and cannot seem to wrap my head around it (i am very visual and have not found a cheese maker to show me yet;). Welcome to the soaping addiction.

I wish I had a steady supply of goat milk. I'd volunteer to help with milking and other chores if I got paid in milk.

We in the Mid Atlantic are also looking forward to cooler weather.

Hey there. I am from South Alabam too. I have been soaping nearly a year and just love it. I now have a friend soaping with me and we have a great time getting together and creating our soaps. We order supplies that we need in large quanities and half the price too.
Hoping all your soaping turns out well.
