Many people love lanolin in their recipes, while others won't touch it all because it comes from sheep. I do have some recipes that use lanolin and it is great, but I think a small amount goes a very long way. Lanolin is a natural moisturizer with powerful emollient and protective properties, so if you like it, use it. It really is great for skin care.

How little are we talking about? I do agree that it is really sticky or tacky to the fingers but it's also supposed to be really good for your skin. Actually, the other week I took my daughter to the fair and they had sheep there. From just petting the newly sheared sheep, my hand was tacky from all the lanolin on there skin.
