Teach Soap

Hi guys, just a quick question, I have tried several times to get a true jet black colour using black iron oxide, I have tried various amounts and I cannot get it right, either it's a dark grey or black, but it lathers black! Would I have better luck using charcoal? Any advice would be greatly received

charcoal will give you a nice black, and if you do not over-use, it will not lather black. I dont really use the other colorants, so I cant help you with an amount for the oxide that won't lather black, sorry, but I know that it can be done. Others will probably help you with the amount that they use, or you could check the soap queen videos. I know she uses black in a few swirls, so she probably says the usage amount.

I gave up on black oxide in soap. It does make gray lather and colors washcloths. I use charcoal; you don't need much and no gray bubbles!

Activated charcoal works great. Go with that.
