How did you know you were ready to sell lipbalm?

I know with soap you need to know what your soap will do down the road, but how do you decide when you're ready to add lipbalm to your line? I'm very cautious about selling products! I've been making soap for a couple of years now and I don't sell. I thought I was ready about a year and a half ago, but after a great craft fair decided that I wanted to wait a little longer. How do I know when my lipbalms are ready to sell? TIA!

I gave mine away to friends as testers. If you wanted more for free, you needed to fill out a short form. Some got mailed out to see how well they would do in the heat. I did a lot of testing for about 6 months and tweaking before I was ready. I got some good feedback and also ideas from my testers.
