Thanks for posting this Irena! I've been trying to figure out the link to download that properly!

Question: is "expressed oil" (e.g. Grapefruit oil expressed) is the same as "essential oil?" Also same question for extracts, distillates, "cold pressed," etc.

Expressed is considered an essential oil. Cold expressed means it was usually done by hand, but it's more pricey. Cold expressed can also be done by machines. Extract can be alcohol based. It depends which extract they are. Some are made with water. I would not call extracts essential oils. Distillates are usually a by-product of distillation. For example rose hydrosol is a by-product of distilling roses. It is normal to reuse the distillate for another batch of roses. I believe that's called cohabitation. That's why the distillate (or hydrosol) has a fairly strong scent.

I suppose that the basic process of making moonshine is very similar to distilling the lavender to extract the oil. "But officer, I'm not making moonshine! Honest! It's lavender oil!"

I've been reading the document and can't find the 8% restriction for benzoin someone had posted. I have found that one of the ingredients listed in the MSDS is prohibited (Contents: Bezoresinol, sumarisinotannol, vanillin, styrol, styracin, phyenyl prophyl cinnamate and benzaldehyde) Benzaldehyde is prohibited.
Benzoic Acid content is >18% --- this ingredient is restricted to 5% in category 9 (which includes soap)
Cinnamic Acid content is >20% --- this ingredient is restricted to 5% in category 9 (which includes soap)

So I won't be using it, but am I missing something or are people finding restrictions that I don't see? Also, there are a LOT of people using this in their soaps according to the reviews of this eo.
