Teach Soap

Anybody have an opinion on these folks as a fragrance oil supplier?

Part of me hopes you'll tell me they're awful, because I can see myself dropping a buncha bucks there. Eating Ramen soup for the rest of my life!

On the other hand, they carry a FO dupe that I used to buy from someone else. My other supplier quit carrying it, and I LOVE this FO.

So, whaddya think?

I use and like some of their fragrances. I'm sure you will enjoy which ever one you order. Ramen with veggies good! LOL Have fun!

I recently bought a whole bunch of FOs to try out from them. I was really disappointed with the scents OOB... they just seem so light OOB and I couldn't hardly tell some of the scents apart. I've only soaped with one so far, Fresh Bamboo (one of the lightest scents), and all I can say is that it smelled wonderful and strong in soap but now seems to be fading after a couple days curing. I'm excited to try the other scents now, though I do understand that this company is very hit or miss... make sure you read up on all of your FO choices from them (from what they have to say, to the reviews on their site, check out any reviews over at , and a general google search to see if you get any other hits on other soaping sites about the FO). I really like that they offer the discounts if you order 10 or more 1-ounce bottles because you can get $25 worth of FO for only $20!

1 oz ppo is more than the recommended percentage for NG (they suggest 5% which is .8 oz ppo at most for their fragrances, and some fragrances are recommended at a lesser percentage)... is it ok to go all the way up to the 1 oz ppo with NG's FOs?

I got the Bamboo FO from WSP in April and it smells great at .8 ppo, It did accelerate trace somewhat but the scent is worth it!

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I use them for few really good FOs that I can't live with out, plus I like to try out new ones every couple months. I can't handle anything from them that has leather notes in it, just makes me so sick to soap with. They do have good prices, I love the discount that TC mentioned, I can build up a wish list of FOs to try, then go back and order the ones I want and get the 16 oz. discount. Just read all the reviews you can find before ordering. It's easy to spend a lot there

Tamera, there is a skin safe amount for each FO/EO. All of the ones at a company will not be the same. They may recommend a certain usage rate, but that may not be the max skin safe amount. You would have to check each oil individually to know, and that is what you should do. If they recommend a certain amount, then I would expect that that amount is a skin safe amount, but that does not mean that it is the max. you can use.

I've gotten some from there I like very much and some I was dissapointed with , same goes for BB. I like that they have reviews on all the FOs. BB should do that too.

You know, I've noticed most of their suggested usages are at 5 %, one of the oils I recently ordered is listed at .5%, and I'm wondering if it's a typo. I will have to e mail them. The table reads like this:
Vegetable Waxes & Paraffin Wax Maximum Use 10%
Potpourri & Incense Maximum Use 50%
Bath Oils, Soaps, Bath Gels Maximum Use .05%
Lotions & Perfumes Maximum Use .05%
Cleaning Products Maximum Use .05%

I mean a half of 1 percent??? There are a couple of the FOs listed like this in a row, which leads me to believe it may be a mistake.
