Linda- oops, meant to say "10% shea" and no palm. THAT one is taking it's sweet time getting hard (been about 4 weeks and I can still press my finger into it a little too much for my liking.) I've been ordering my palm from BB (whom I love to deal with) but the shipping is KILLING me b/c I'm in Canada. How do you get your soap so hard (per the lye calculator) w/o the palm? Wowee! Impressive!

I so want one of those flower-thing-a-ma-jigs for my molds. They're so beautiful!

I've been silently admiring everyone's pretty new soaps and am secretly jealous of all your talent ^_^ Well, not so secretly, I guess!
I do really like those flower sheets you all are using! So neat ^_^

I finally got the chance to make another batch of soap. It didn't turn out how I wanted it to as I was looking for a nice pristine white and I got more of a cream color. I used castor oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil, pomace olive oil, palm kernel flakes, palm oil, shea butter, and sunflower oil, TD, Bamboo Extract (exfoliate), and NG's Fresh Bamboo FO. I had a hard time smelling the FO in the bottle, but it is utterly fantastic in the soap so far and I really hope it doesn't fade. And the TD didn't incorporate fully (I have a hard time incorporating my colorants for some reason. I may have to invest in one of those tiny blenders over at BB).
So, this is my trial #1 of what will eventually become my Ninja Soap!

Those still look very nice Tamra! Would the pomace possibly be what's preventing the whiteness you want? I don't know where I read that but... in the pictures your soaps actually look like a very light shade of white.

TD has been tricky for me too. I tried it last week but only added at trace (it's the water and oil soluble kind)... in my gelled batch it was fine but not so much in the non-gelled. Some crumbly edges I had to cut off.

They look pretty white to me, and I hardly noticed the TD!

More nice soaps karri!
Beautiful Linda! I tried an ocean from a new place for me a while back and got soap on a stick too!
Nice job Tamera!

Beautiful soaps, Karri! I'm going to have to try to make castile soap someday. The cupcakes are cute, and I love the textured tops of the other bars.

ljm, love your soaps. I never did get myself one of those fondant mats, but I should take one of my coupons down to the craft store and get one someday. I especially like the swirled tangerine soap. The Ocean Breeze still turned out very nice even though the FO gave you problems!

Nice Ninja soap, tcmatteson! Fresh Bamboo sounds awesome. The texture on the tops looks great, and your bars look so creamy. Great job! :)

Tamra, I think your soap looks great. I'm not even going to try to get a white soap! LOL

Hehe, thanks guys! That was really my only concern with the TD not fully incorporating. I'd prefer a whiter soap, but I won't be adding too much TD either.
Karri- I used Bamboo Extract, not pumice, because it's much whiter (and I think it's a bit transparent, too) than the dull gray tone that pumice is... But like I said, this is trial #1. I have this image in my head as to how the soap should look and feel, so I shall work to get it as close to that image as I can ^_^

Wow! Gorgeous soaps ladies.
Karri, look at you go ;) Your castile looks great. I love how you did the tops!
TC, I've been wanting to try the fresh bamboo, but wasn't sure how I would like it. I haven't had the best experience with a different vendor's bamboo, so I'm kind of scared of it.
