Those both came out wonderfully! I love the way you both did the tops of the soap. :D

@soaphel - sorry about your mom. I can't imagine. Glad you got your spirits back up to start soaping again. Very rustic creation you got there! What did you scent it with?

@mella - you're swirling is perfection! I would scent that with spearmint...mmmmmm

Very nice! It looks blue-ish in the picture-did you color it? Also did you use coffee & hazelnut FOs to sent it? Or did you use coffee for your liquid? Sorry, inquiring minds want to know...

Mmm... that coffee soap looks like cake! What did you use in it?

Here are some recent soap adventures of mine:

Attachments:
File comment: Contains milk, honey, beeswax & oat powder. No EOs but has a slightly sweet/oats type of scent. This one cracked slightly in the mold but turned out great! Name: Breakfast in Bed.

File comment: Made with rose and kaolin clays. Calling this one Girlie Girl.

File comment: Milk/honey/beeswax soap from same batch as first one above but scented with patchouli/lime EOs. This one cracked too and I was freaking but it turned out. Phew! Calling this one "Rhiannon" :)

Very pretty coffee soap, Miss Rhosie! It looks good enough to eat. I'll bet it smells fantastic!

Nice soaps, Karri! I love the texture on the tops of your bars, and the layering is pretty. :)

soaphell So sorry for your loss. Glad you are back to soaping though, and your soap is very pretty and interesting!

Mella, great soap as always! I luv your tops too, very interesting!

MissRhosie, great looking coffee soap!

Karri, nice soap, you are really just running along! I especially like your girlie girl. The tops are great too!

Well I promised I would post pics of the last few batches, even though they did not turn out as I expected/hoped/thought. Those darn fairies got made cuz I drank more of the wine than I left! But they are workable, just not what I intended.

The first two are in my new silicone molds, so this is the first time I have soaped with them. The scent is a blend of EO's that I call "Flowering Grapefruit" and is colored with maddar root and red clay

This one is the cedar and saffron FO from BB and I added cedar wood EO and amber to it. It is colored with nettle, charcoal, and safflower, although, as you can see in the top picture, only a few pieces ended up with any yellow. There is sage on the top of the soap.

Then this is a relaxation blend of EO's. It is colored with blueberry fibers and anatto seed. My attempted swirl fell short cuz I over swirled! I knew better too, but silly me..... Oh well, so it has a blob in the middle!

Good work Tammy! I like the new mold. Your blends sound so there! I love the color definition and crinkle cut of the cedar and saffron enhanced blend!

Tammy - The Flowering Grapefruit soaps make my mouth water! Something about how the reddish pink swirls with the rest of the soap. Mmm ... reminds me of some pink grapefruit I ate last week :) What do those soaps smell like exactly?

And those other natural colors in your soaps are incredible. I had no idea you could get that kind of vibrancy with botanicals. I bow down...

Thank you Irena!
Mella, thank you and I like the new molds too, now I just have to buy some more for baking LOL!
Karri, thank you. The flowering grapefruit is a blend of several eo's. The scent is difficult for me to describe. It has pink grapefruit and several other eo's, and ends up having a floral note as well, so that is how it got its name.

Well my mouth is still watering ;)

How cool that you used blueberry fibre (didn't even know there was such a thing) to get that deep purple color ... because a few weeks ago I made a lemon/lavender soap with blueberry seeds throughout. The soap looks like cake! But what's really cool is the blueberry seeds seem to keep their deep purple hue in the soap. So that must be a great plant overall for coloring soap.

if you just add the bluberry fiber to the batch it will be more gray, but I infuse it in oil for a long while and I add a tad of indigo or woad to the infusion to boost it, and there ya go.
