Regarding the initial question about layering rebatch soap, I've successfully done this but with only very hot rebatch that is more liquid than "glop." When the two layers are more cool, they seem like they don't adhere as well as I'd like them too. But, when they're warm and a little more runny than is normally ideal, they seem to hold well for me.
