Teach Soap

I will be soaping soon with a fragrance that advises not to use with oxides. I have a liquid High pH Lab color for one of the colors but not the other. My choices are soapylove's sunshine yellow or food coloring FDC yellow, or yellow mica!

I have never heard of not using oxides with particular fragrances. Did they say why? I use micas, ultramarines and oxides in my soaps that are fragranced and have not had any problems. I also use Lab Colors or FD&C colors, but those can bleed.

NOTE I: This fragrance does accelerate trace in cold process (CP) soap, so don't discount your water at all and make sure to add at thin trace, after you've added your colorants or herbs.

NOTE II: Iron Oxide colorants run the risk of turning this fragrance brown as they react with a component in the fragrance. Please do a test batch with your colorant prior to making a big batch to ensure that your soap stays the color you intended.

So I know the liquids bleed but I'll use them instead since I don't know if a Mica contains any oxides.

Most of the Mica contains certain level of oxide.

Thanks Em that's what I was worried about. Well it's in the refer now and I used LAB and FDC color!
