Hey Gang,
Joey here in NJ (NO Jersey Shores cracks!) LOL
I'm brand new to the world of soap making. I have not yet tried it. I've always been a
soap fanatic and purchase more bars of soap then what I actually use...I never run out
Recently I've become very interested in the soap making process. I turned to YouTube one night just to see if there was anything on soap making. That's where I came across Ann-Marie from BrambleBerry with her Soap Queen TV. She made it seems SO much fun then I would have imagined. Very infromative videos - I can't wait to get started.
There's so much information on the boards here. Lots to read and learn. My first order is going to be a few of the sample kits of fragrances and oils to get familiar with Brambleberry's line. Also trying to find out a bit more about the differences between the different soap bases and how they vary when it comes to Scenting and coloring.
I'll been looking for any info anyone cares to share, but it looks like there's enough topics to keep me busy.
I did read that there's going to be a Soap Workshop weekend here in North Jersey. As much as I would love to go, I really have no interest in Cold Process soap, due to handling Lye. Regardless of safety measures, I don't have proper room in my apartment to use lye, nor would I use it in my common areas. So hopefully some day there will be a workshop for melt & pour soap.
Off to read through everything. Glad to have found this forum and look forward to your stories, suggestions, etc.
Happy Soaping.
Joey
