soapy those hearts are lovely getting ready for a party?

Tammy I love those lovely multi colored bars. The coloring is all so complimentary. Reminds me of Splendor in the Grass and the fro sounds to envy!

Oh Mella, I love that. Do you mind if I use that name? remember the movie? Lol. Um, I mean, I read :D some where that there was an old movie by that name!
Since I blended the scent I am hopeful that it will smell as nicely as I envisioned when its cured!

Soapy Sue, great hearts. I love imbeds. Great colors.

LL, once again I love the pastel shading.... just like a watercolor :!:

Here's a Green Tea-scented soap I made this week. It was my first attempt at swirling, and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out! :D

I agree - the soap matches it's name perfectly and your swirls are wonderful. Great job. :D

Thanks, Bubbles2, Bramble Momma, ljm1180, and cat040876! :D

ljm - I swirled it in a slab mold. I made a batch of soap with fragrance, split it into three containers and colored one green, one yellow, and one black. Then I poured a few lines of the green lengthwise, then a few lines of the yellow lengthwise, and then the same with the black, and then just alternated colors until the batter was gone. Then I cut a squiggly s-shaped line diagonally from one corner to the other, and then made another squiggly from the adjacent corner to the other corner. Then I put down the dividers and put it to bed. I saw KB Shimmer's YouTube video on swirling and used that as my inspiration: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDYXoDlSoco. Her soaps are amazing!

cat, the Green Tea FO is from BB. It behaved beautifully in my CP and so far the scent is holding up nicely!

Thanks for posting the link - I can see why you were inspired! The most I've ever swirled is 3 colors, but that makes me want to try more!

Very pretty jrose! Soft and subtle, yet very noticeable! I like it!

*waves hello* Been lurking for a couple of weeks, but I finally made my first "serious" CP soap (I made a really simple batch last week just to see if I could; this one was me actually trying to accomplish something  ), and while it's not much to look at, I'm feeling cautiously pleased.

Image

It's made with chamomile infused oil and a really strong chamomile infusion in water (which turned alarmingly orange when the lye was added! ), and scented with lemon, lavender, litsea and a tiny bit of chamomile EOs. I was quite surprised to see the light color after that crazy orange from the lye water!

I poured at (too) late trace, so even though I banged the mold on the counter a few times, there are still a few bubbles closer to the top. Got to move faster!

Image

I did get a small crack on the top of the loaf (as seen on the top of these two bars); no towels on top next time for this recipe, I think!

Hi Jenova! I thionk your soap looks great and sounds like it smells wonderful! The fun thing about CP is that there is always something different that can (and will!) happen when you least expect it...

@cat - Love the colors! Will check out your blog for the rest of the story! LOL
