What pretty soaps Bubbles! How did you do the bubbles on the Niagra Falls soap, or is that the mold? My eyes arent quite what they used to be! Lol. They are all pretty and it looks like you have been busy.

I have been ill, so I hadn't made soap since last week, but today I just had to make some! Even at full water, my recipe moved too fast to get exactly what I was going for, but I am hopeful that it will turn out to be pretty anyway. Here is the just poured picture. I used annato seed infused oo, maddar root, indigo w blueberry fibers, TD, some mixtures of these for the colors

Tammy, the swirls look so pretty! I hope you'll post pictures of the cut soap. :D

Irena, that is what I have been experimenting with...painting with soap. My first experiment was awful! LOL At least this one looks pretty. LJM, I will be cutting later today and I am anxious to see if I got good color, so keep your fingers crossed for me! I will post later, success or failure, we will all see!

Tammy, great mix of colors. I agree with SB it looks like a Van Gogh painting! I look forward to seeing it cut. Hope you are feeling better.

The bubbles on the niagra falls soap were done ahead of time with M&P soap using 3 different colors and placed them on the soap after the pour. I enjoy adding little things of interest on top of my soaps. I just poured a very tiny mold of a sunflower - this one I will need to paint the seeds in the center of. I have a very special person that will get this if all goes as the idea in my head.

Thank you, thank you ladies! ANd Bubbles, I am beginning to feel better, finally. Thank you. I love your bubbles on the soap and mixing the m&p and the cp is a neat process I think. I get a bit impatient to do it on a regular basis, but huge props to you for having that patience and talent!
Mella, um...no comment on the age thing. I mean, you could just be well educated (which in this day and age I guess suggests that we are older too LOL) ...I mean, I remember ...um reading,..... yes that's it, ...reading about the 60's, and 70's!

Here are the cut photo's of my painted soap!

The flower pattern is the bottom and was a gift form a very nice friend! This was my first time to use it, but I love it. I think it will show up better on a one or two color soap though. Also, as you can see, I didnt get the swirling all the way through to the very bottom this time, which I thought I did. Oh well, it still looks okay and my experimenting with this painting type technique is coming along nicely and WAY better than the first attempt! Talk about some ugly soap! In 20 years I have never made such ugly soap!

Tammy, I LOVE LOVE LOVE that soap! It looks like a tie-dyed shirt. I'm feelin' the love, baby! (I also "read" about the 60s & 70s.)

Irena, Linda, and Jrose; Thank you all! I had fun, and it was the perfect recooperating batch!
Mella, I had them cut straight to begin with, then re-cut them. But I think they looked better straight, maybe too "busy" with the crinkle cut. So, I think you are right! Thank you for mentioning it. And, btw, you did that VERY diplomatically!

I picked up on the daisy mat right away! It looks like a chambrey fabric to me, like the gental color changes. What a nice friend to give you such a nice gift :P I never would have thought to do the mat for one side and textured on the other.... but I like it. Seems like I could look at soap pictures all the time, hummmm, is that considered an addiction?

Well Susie, if it is an addiction....and I think it is, we are all in the same boat, so no worries! :D And yes, it was a VERY nice gesture from a VERY nice person and I LOVE it! I do like the coloring of the bottom with the flowers, I just think maybe it was too much for one soap, Lol, but no matter what, I can foresee LOTS of flowered soap in my future!
