What did I do wrong? I melted the soap, added the fragrance and color, and let the molds cool. Now, when I wash my hands, the lather is colored and any water remaining in the soap dish is colored, making a mess of a white towel upon cleanup. What did I do wrong?

Labcolors will bleed. Next time use some mica. Micas don't bleed.

Thanks! Any particular mica? Or, are they all the same? I went to Bramble Berry's website and there are several listed (e.g., cosmetic micas, lip balm micas...).

Try the mica sample pack. A little goes a long way.

LabColors will bleed into other colors in the same bar of soap. They should not however color the lather or your hands when using them. It sounds like you used too much coloring. The LabColors are super concentrated and you do not need very much at all to color the soap.
