I hope you hear from the insurance company asap!
Here is a thought - you said almost all your products were ruined. But is there anything you can salvage? I was just thinking you might be able to have a basket of "storm damage - clearance prices" at your next sale.

The cp soaps, for example, could be sold without labels. Maybe something similar with other products. At least that way you could recoup some of your investment.
I know that when I have candles that are little dinged (seems to happen to votives a lot...) I set them aside for a year end sale. I put a big "oopsies" basket on my table, with special pricing, and they fly out the door.

Just a thought...

Kat, that's a great idea. We've got "Hail Sales" going on all over the place because of the severe weather we had a few weeks ago.

OMG, I'm so sorry this happened to you and all the other vendors. If your doing CP soap does this mean you have to make again and wait 4-6 week cure time? I'm hoping you have inventory at home.

It is a blessing no one was hurt.

Yes it is CP soap and I made 7 batches yesterday to prepare for my show that is in 3 weeks! I have a little inventory here at home, more than I actually thought I had, but not really enough to do a show, but with what I made yesterday I should be ok.

Can you HP anything for a faster cure???

Yes I am doing some HP, I had a few things to re-batch so I those will be ready sooner also.
Yesterday my hubby kept the kids from underfoot and I made: shaving soap, shampoo bars, dog shampoo/campers shampoo, Zen (lavender and chamomile), The Goat Ate Carrots, Fruit Loop embeds, Lavender rebatch and honey and oats.
I think I have almost all of my standard product lines accounted for and today/tonight I am making a few extras. I'm exhausted!!

I don't know if the guild ever got back to you, but if not can you just contact the insurance company directly or do you have to contact the guild first?

I finally got the claiim form in email..took a few days. I've printed the pictures I have and will mail it on Monday. I will let you know!!
