Teach Soap

Wow, so I was doing a show this past weekend and a HUGE storm came up and blew my tent away and ruined almost all of my products. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me about their experience utilizing the Soapmakers Guild Insurance. I have it but they are closed today and so I will need to file my claim tomorrow.

It was Elizabethton Covered Bridge. I did take pics, will post later. It was so scary! Im already back at it ..made two batches today so far

WOW! I hope no one was injured in this storm!? Let us know how the claim goes, I'm pulling for you. I really doubt there is a way to fully prepare for something like this. Did you have your camera with you... that was good thinking. And I am glad to hear that you were able to get right back at soap making again!

Wow is all I can say. Did those tents by you stay up or did they drag them back? I guess its a good thing that the tents didnt end up down off the bridge on traffic!

I hope you get this resolved with your insurance. I don't know about your area, but at my local street fair, we have sand bags for the tents as this area tends to get very windy. When it gets gusty winds, the street fair staff will close the fair down.

thank God you weren't hurt. I saw a friend of mine get hit with a canopy that the wind just took from the row behind us.
