Finished my butterfly - its for my sisters, partners niece lol... the mould when it arrived was way too big for a four yr olds hand despite the "finished weight" of the soap it is MEANT to produce sounding more like a guest soap size...but I saw it and it was just too cute not to do!!!

I decided, at the very last minute, that I wasn't going to do a two pour soap (original idea was pour the top layer detail then pour a second layer) and that I wanted to "funk it up" some more... so I had my very first go at lots of different colours....

The mould for the majority of the detail was very shallow and I filled each one very carefully with a 5ml syringe lol... then cleaned up, poured my blue and finished off with my pink :)

It is scented lightly with Strawberries and Cream :)

It's not perfect but its the very first attempt at something like this so I for one am proud as hell :D

Today I made my first gem soap. I watched a demo at our PNW soapmakers get-together and thought I would give it a try. It was fun to make. This one weighs about 4 ounces
