I've read about using bakers chocolate in soap but I'm wondering if it gives the chocolate scent to the soap? Anything I've ever smelled that wasn't real chocolate smells musty/moldy to me (actually, even tootsie rolls smell that way to me!) I want to avoid that smell, but don't know if it's possible to have a chocolate scented soap without using artificial FO. Oh, and I'm totally not against FO's, I LOVE them! Just not chocolate, but if anyone has one they feel is awesome and doesn't put off that smell I talked about I'd be glad to try it! I also have unrefined cocoa butter that I will use in this soap and I think it smells heavenly, I just don't know how much of that will stay in the end, but maybe with the cocoa butter and bakers chocolate together I will be able to get a nice, true chocolate smell? Any ideas? Thank you again!

Try it and see what you think. :) Everyone's nose is different.

My chocolate soap is made with dark cocoa powder. It doesn't give a lot of chocolate smell, very mild scent, in fact.

Try unrefined cocoa butter, it will give you light cocoa scent.
