Yup - a fabric softener sheet works great. I keep a couple of them in the box where I store my lye so I don't forget to use them.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I have tried the dryer sheet. It works fine for small containers but not so much on 55lb. buckets. The flakes are easier for me to measure accurately. I have three scales and the beads make all of them go wonky once in awhile. I guess it's just a personal preference. Thanks and I'll keep looking.

Have you tried Brambleberry? I get mine from there and they are north of Seattle on the West Coast.

Ok, another vendor doing this to me, I'm seriously pissed! Is this a trend now?!
I placed my order more than a week ago with AAA Chemicals. Their policy says shipping in 2 days and will email tracking info. Got nothing a week later. Emailed their customer service. Got reply back the next day saying that they are falling behind. Why can't they be honest and tell buyers up front?! I don't mind knowing that they are doing well in business and will ship later but took my $ and not say a word for more than a week until I asked is not right business practice! What's with business ethic these days?! I hope they are not lying again telling me they are shipping out my order today!

PS. After communicating back and forwards by email with the president of AAA Chemicals, they kindly apologized and refunded my shipping cost to make it up to me. That is a good business practice, they finally redeemed themselves. I will continue to be their customer.

Hey Cat....Sorry you had that problem with AAA. I ordered a lot of lye from them a couple of weeks ago but now I cant remember how long they said it would take to ship. Anyway, I got my order in about a week. I live in CA and they ship from Texas...I didn't really need the lye in a hurry so didn't pay any attention to how long it took. I suppose if I was in dire need of the lye and was waiting patiently I would have been pissed as well, especially if they promised to ship in 2 days. I recommended them at the beginning of this topic because they beat everyone else on shipping and the cost of the lye.
Shipping costs on all this soaping stuff seems to be a killer. I finally found a source out here on the west Coast where I can order all the oils and butters I need at a good price and I am able to pick it up "will call" which saves me huge on the shipping. ....which seems to amount to about 50% of the cost of the product these days. The name of the place is CIBARIA and its located in Riverside Ca. Their on the web....

essential depot is having a 1/2 off sale right now. They have 1/2 off sales regularly. Also look out for FREE SHIPPING that they also have regularly too. I purchase my NaOH 75# batches and they have the best price for bulk.

I usually buy from essential depot but their shipping cost is killing me because I want to buy just a little KOH. If I'm just buying NaOh then yeah I would just do the free shipping deal from them but I also want KOH. Anyway, AAA Chemicals is being very responsive to customer complaints, not like The Scent Works. So all in all I'm happy they try to take care of me. For some reason this year all the suppliers are having a bloom and lack of working hands. Is it a strong sign for economy recovery?! It's interesting to see how different companies react differently under stress. AAA Chemicals at least tries to make up the mistake vs. The Scent Work tries to cover up with excuses. Can't stress the fact about how important customer service is again.

I am glad to hear that they responded to your complaint, because I just began using them a couple of orders ago, and I really liked their price! Plus, I got my orders very fast, much faster than I expected I would. I had used essential depot before them, and even with the deal that was going on, AAA was faster and less expensive. I like to buy 10-16 pounds at a time because I dont like the storage issues with larger amounts. So for me, they are a great source.
Maybe it is beginning to turn around Cat, either that, or you are just bad juju. So in case that is it, please dont shop at any more of my vendors
