Hi, how do people encorporate stearic acid into their mixes? I tried a couple of spoons of granules into my mix and it didn't fully absorb, I also then tried boiling water but that... just didn't work.

If you want to use stearic acid in CP you have to melt it together with your butter and oil first then mix it with lye water.

Thanks guys, I'll give that a try. ihaigai, Stearic acid can harden up bars (my soap use 80% olive oil so I need something to substitute the lack of harder oil) though it can cause a slight residue in harder water areas.
