Teach Soap

Yesterday I made a batch of soap, usual recipe and put it in the oven to CPOP. My oven is kind of wonky, I have to turn it on to 170 degrees, put the soap in and then turn the oven off after 10 minutes or I get alien brain. Well, I did all that, turned it on, preheat, put in soap, turn oven off after ten minutes and all seemed great.
This morning I took the soap out and had planned on cutting it around noon (had free time at noon) pulled it out of the mold and low and behold the soap never gelled!!!!
I have no idea what the heck is up with this! I turned the oven back on to make sure it was working and, sure enough, it's working. But my soap didn't gel at all, not even partial gel. I used Peppermint and Lavender EO to fragrance and like I said, this is my "standard" recipe.

Any idea what's going on here? Or do I just chalk it up to the soap gremlins? I did forget to leave out a glass of wine for them last night

Hum... Are you sure your oven was on yesterday? Maybe there was a power outage you didn't know!
Just blame it on soap gremlins, you didn't leave them any cookies or brownies!

I would check your oven. The soap will still be ok. If it didn't gel, it might take longer to be hard enough to get out of your mold and cut.

Thanks SB, I know the soap will be fine, I just prefer to force gel. A lot of times, if I don't CPOP, my soap will partial gel, and that just ticks me off I checked the oven, and it's working just like normal. I don't know what the heck happened here. Darn gremlins!!!
