If I want to use a white MP to swirl in a colored CP do I have to do that spraying with alchohol thing you do with MP?

In this instance no spraying is needed.

nope no spraying needed. It's a really fun technique though watch out how hot your soap gets. Mine got really hot and the MP went wherever it wanted. I put the MP on top and some moved to the bottom of the mold.

Thanks for posting that pic, soapyjoes. I was going to try MP spheres in a loaf of CP, but now I'm not so sure! And I don't care for ungelled soap, which would probably work ok.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

This soap was almost soap on a stick due to the floral FO. I threw it in the mold, added the MP to the top and set it on the counter. I didn't insulate it because it got very warm on it's own. I generally don't gel but this one got to do it's own thing. I like this technique for a more organic design. Unless you soap rather cool I am not sure how well the MP would hold up without starting to melt.

I have added M&P to a number of my soaps. I really like the look and it helps me incorporate micas for a little bit of glimmer. When I do this I do not gel, usually by using the fridge. I have left one on the counter with no insulation and it also did well, but that was with the M&P as the top design. I would not try an OP soap unless you want the free form style like soapy joe did.
