I have a really beautiful cupcake mold that is approx 3 inches high and includes the whipped icing look on top. I will be using M&P base. How will i get the two seperate colors for bottom and top if it is one mold? Do i paint on the color after the mold comes out? Thank you.

Welcome Nancy!
I presume the "frosting" part is on the bottom of you mold? If so, you pour that first, then wait til it hardens enough to hold more soap on top of it. Spritz with alcohol and pour the cake layer. Let completely cool off and harden, then pop out the whole piece.

Hi - Thank you for the warm welcome. Yes the frosting part is on the bottom. Approximately how long would i wait for the first layer to become hard enough before i would pour the second layer?

Also, is there any particular color that works best with the bottoms for all cupcakes, and i have clear and white soap base? What would you reccommend? Thanks again.

I would wait til the bottom frosting part is just hard enough to touch with your finger and lightly dent it. It would be still a little warm. For the cake part, try the white with a little yellow in it. If you use a vanilla based fragrance, the white will turn tan to brown all on its own. You can also mix the clear with a small amount of white, to make the clear opaque.

Looks like Soapbuddy got you taken care of but wanted to show you this as well It is a video on layering. I know sometimes actually seeing it happen can be helpful!

Good luck! Let us know how they turn out. :D

Welcome to the addictive world of Melt & Pour Soaping ,you will never be the same again. :D
I would recommend that you grab a cup of coffee put your feet up and have a look at every one of Soap Queen video's before you start soaping.M & P work looks fairly easy and it is but there are a few pitfalls that you need to know about and if you watch of the video's you will better equipped to do your soaping and make absolutely beautiful cupcakes. :D

Good Morning,

Thank you everyone for all your wonderful suggestions. I'm looking for a 3-4 inch baby bottle mold very realistic maybe 3-D if possible. Can't find anything really good. Any ideas? Thank you.

Flexible Molds has 3 1/2" baby bottle molds - They're down towards the bottom of the page
http://www.flexiblemolds.com/baby.htm
They also have booties, wedding cakes, roses, sunflowers and a whole bunch more.

Sugarcraft has some baby bottles that are 5 1/2"
http://www.sugarcraft.com/catalog/candy ... M-baby.htm
-They're about 3/4 of the way down the page
