Has anyone tried BB's new Foaming Bath Butter yet?
I've tried several batches, each with a mix of several kinds of "light" oils (Sweet Almond, Apricot Kernel, Light Olive Oil) but the finished product seems to come out rather grainy which surprised me - almost like a very light exfoliator! Is it my choice of oils or the amount used that could be the cause of this? Granted, I also experimented with varying amounts of oils from the norm of 1-2oz oil per pound of Foaming Bath Butter but as far I as know, addition of oil shouldn't do this, should it?
It's rather frustrating not being able to get that light, whipped and non-grainy feel yet.
I've also been reading that foaming bath butter doesn't aerate properly if whipped with anything less than a pound. This part, I don't have any difficulty with. But it has also been said that we should add fragrance oils during the whipping process - that's where my problem arises. How do add fragrance in small amounts? Whipping the fragrance in seems just impossible to do for 2- 4 oz sample-sized jars for gifts! Any ideas anyone?
