I'm looking for a nice, clean fragrance that says "water" without being too abrupt or salty. I have Ocean Rain from WSP (my supplier before I discovered BrambleBerry :P) and it's not bad, but it's a bit too in your face. I'm ready to try a BB FO to replace it, but there are so many. I'm concerned Cold Water may be too masculine and Celestial Waters may be too floral. What do you guys think?

Give Cybilla Rain a shot - it's nicely balanced between sweet & salty :)

I like Lettuce FO, but that might be too green for you.

I love Kentish Rain from BB, but it's not really a "water" scent.

I'm going to ditto ljm. Kentish Rain is really nice, but I'm not sure if it's the kind of "water" you're looking for.

I ran across this blend while browsing through some notes.

Ocean Breeze
2 parts lavender e.o.
1 part rosemary e.o.
1 part bergamot e.o.
touch of mint or eucalyptus e.o.

Edited to say, that I did the Q-Tip test with this blend and did not care for it.

Here is a blend called Freshwater that I tried yesterday and I really like it:

4-Bergamot, 2-Eucalyptus, 1-Lavender 40/42, 12-Lemon

Thanks everyone! lsg, I'll give that second blend a go and see how it comes out. I did end up ordering Cybilla's Rain and it was a nice fragrance, just a hint too salty and I get the feeling that it'll take a fair bit of it to produce a strong fragrance. Sometimes it seems like customers aren't keen on a soap unless they can smell it from 10 feet away :P

I have relatives that use my soaps to scent the bathroom! I now tell them that if they don't use the soap I will not give them anymore.
