HI,
I am considering adding EOs to my solid lotion bars. I cannot find any info on how much of a particular EO it takes to achieve the desired therapeutic effect.

The recipes list all the ingredients and their exact quantities, then they just say EO or FO at the end. If there is ANY indication of a specific amount, it is always based on how much oil the formula will accept, not how much is needed to achieve any benefit.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice!!

Kathe

It depends for which benefit. Is this for your use or to sell?

Both ;)

For example, oil that are reputed to help heal dry cracked skin, such as Tea Tree; and oils that soothe irritation, such as Chamomile and helichrysum.

Is there a resource, online or otherwise, that will help me?

I have several highly regarded books on EOs, but they refer to either aromatherapy or to direct use (in a carrier oil).

thanks for your help!

Nature's Gift has some EO listed and what they can do. http://www.naturesgift.com/anti.htm
I would use the "direct use" (in a carrier oil) from your book and extrapolate the carrier oil as your oils/butters in the formula of your lotion bar.
