Teach Soap

Here was me all excited about my little soap "tubes" I made in my new ice cube mold. The tubes were white/light cream. Yesterday I made a batch of soap to embed them in. Okay. My first mistake was I used too much of a new lab color. It was called lemon shebert. My soap is taxi cab yellow. My "dots" which are my "tubes" when sliced turned pink. No one will probably hate it but me because I am kind of a pastel/spa colors gal, but why did they turn pink?

Did you use an FO that may have caused it?

Lemon verbena was in both the tubes and other stuff. .7 oz per pound

I've had coconut soap turn pink. Could that have been it? Either that or your fragrance.

There is no reason that there should be little pink dots in there since the ingredient for the color are yellow and green (so no red or pink in it). It's a mystery! =)

I'd contact Bramble Berry Customer Service and work with Leah or Elizabeth to get the color back to us so I can test it and then get you a new bottle.

I made soap yesterday with a tried and true recipe and using Rain FO from WSP and it also turned a pinkish color. Disappointed because I had some great blue swirls in it... Maybe they'll turn purple and I can call it Purple Rain.

Is the soap still pink? The reason why I ask is because I made CP soap with Sandalwood FO using a pvc pipe. When I unmolded the soap it was bright pink! I almost fainted
But after a few days it turned back to white and all is good.
