Hi all, I made a big batch of liquid soap and have never made such a big batch. I want to save half as a paste. My question is what is the best way to save paste and how long can I save it for? Thanks

I save mine in plastic container with lid similar to tupperware. Mine over time would get dryer if I keep too long, but can always just add more water when I need to dilute it. I don't believe there's an expiration date on soap paste as long as it is done right.

I use a ziploc bag and squeeze all the air out of it. It's stored in the fridge.

I store mine in a rubbermaid container in the fridge with a label.
I travel often & the label stops people (house sitters mainly) from eating it or goodness forbid popping it in the microwave. It also tells me the date of when I made that batch. I've never seen one go bad yet. The current batch has been there for a few months & so far so good. : )

What is liquid soap paste??

Liquid soap paste is the paste that is made before it becomes a liquid soap, if that makes sense. One makes the paste before hand and it can be stored to use later in a paste form. Its the soap before the water is added to make the liquid soap. Oh I could go on.

I usually weigh mine out and then put into zip lock baggies and put on the bottom shelf of the fridge.
