If you're using oil, you really don't need witch hazel. The oil should be enough moisture.

Thank you winter moon. So I guess this bb falling apart wasn't because of the witch hazel? Hmmmm, I wonder what I did wrong? I will check the other ones when I get home.

If you use oil and still fall apart, it is often because of, either the lack of oil (as in you didn't use enough, but be careful because you don't want to use too much either), or the fact that it needs more compression.
I don't know what type of mold that you use, but if it is a flat one, you can cover it with a clean dish towel and then stack books on top to help compress it. Leave it that way over night, then when you unmold, be careful as you set it out to dry.
If you use a baller or any 3d type mold, you have to squeeze very VERY hard, very firmly, and cautiously remove and leave alone to dry. The less you handle and move them while they dry, the better they do.

I had a lot of trouble getting my bath bomb halves to stick together in the beginning. Two things worked for me: shea butter or kaolin clay. I'd assume the witch hazel is a necessary step, or you would at least have to sub something else. But personally, I wouldn't go without it! I was given witch hazel pads in the hospital after having a baby 4 months ago, and have sworn by it since. It's a renowned astringent and so soothing.

Sometimes you need more pressure so the mixture stays together.
