FOs are (mostly) synthetic and EOs are natural plant based.
It depends on your views ( for some people) about putting synthetic products on your body.
But doing some research about EOs, you can mix different "notes" to get the scent to last longer - however most EOs fade with time because of the fact that they are a naural product. Some stay more potent for longer periods.

Be sure to do some reading about the different EOs and what they are good for and any dangers involved with some of them.
There are some great books out there that will help you with what Base notes and High notes are, etc. and how to blend different EOs.
There is a good web-page and when I can remember what it is - I will post it.
