I'm taking the plunge on Monday and filing for my business license! I'm super excited but a bit nervous at the same time. Can anyone give me advice on liability insurance and how much it may run me a month?

Congratulations! The insurance will depend on where you get it, how much you get, and if there are extra riders you get, so it is hard to say what the charge will be. Plus, different areas of the country tend to have different price structures. However, I think the average minimum is from 250$ to 350$ per yr from what I have read on forums.

I'm still trying to decide if I want to sell or not. I really don't want to mess with collecting sales tax and all the filing that goes along with it.

I read on the Fl sales tax website that if your sales are considered casual (like to family and friends) you do not need a license for sales tax. I would certainly check in to it more with your own state.
