Teach Soap

I made transparent soap for the first time a couple days ago...have to say I loved it...It is very time consuming thou...I can't wait to try out the soap...I heard it is not as moisturizing as CP. As for the alcohol issue...I dunno...my two sence is that it is burned out of the soap just like the lye is. There should be no alcohol left in your soap at the end of the soaps curing time just like lye. This is what I was led to believe. I used a denatured alcohol (SDA-3A) that my soap supplier carries (voyager soap and candle) It is 99% and is great for making transparent soap. Mine didnt come out perfectly clear the first time but I will definatly give it another go!

As for the book...I have it ordered and am waiting patiently...I too wanna mix cp and transparent together...just not sure how to go about it...I stay awake at night thinking about it...lol.

Another nifty little thing you can do with the less than perfectly clear bars is...
Shred a few, melt them down, add a little more alcohol or glycerin (just enough to make it runny liquid again), then add it to 50-80% (of the soap weight) granulated sugar, re-pour (or pak) into molds & let harden again.
Easy peasy "melt & pour" sugar scrub. But... That's really for another forum area. : )
