 Post subject: superfatting question

Do I need to adjust the superfat % if Im adding in some oils at trace? I know the amounts of the ones Ive added at trace arent huge, but I am curious if it matters.

Don't bother adding any oils or butters at trace. The lye is still quite active at this point and it will take whatever it wants. There is no guaranteee that any oils added at trace will end up as your superfat. Calculate ALL your oils or butters right up front.

Ok. See, I wondered. But I have a list of oils and what they do and a lot of them just say to add so much at trace lol ty soapbuddy :)
