Teach Soap

I just receive a order with the FO I really want to try (no not from the awful The Scent Works, still waiting after more than 2 weeks). Planned out the whole formula and color scheme and even attempted to use the pringles can for the very first time... And then I goofed up... 4 color in the pot swirl, got so excited after beautifully poured into the can, then realized... the cup of FO is still sitting in front of me... I'm totally speechless...

Oh no! It happens. You can either sell it as a limited edition for people that like their soaps unscented, or rebatch.

Count me among the initiated! I let my batch set for two daysin the mold. Shredded it up and put it into another fragranced batch. 1 pound of shreds to two pounds of new and fragranced batch which worked well and looks like what people call confetti soap! Voila!

Some put the fragrance bottle in the mold to remind them. Today I split a batch into two containers then remembered I didn't add the fragrance. Luckily it was a loose batch, put it back into the mixing pail added the fro and mixed it up with the blender a few times and then split again colored the two and did a mantra swirl, whew! Oh and with all the machinations made a mess! But the batch is beautiful yippy!

While I am sorry you experiences this, crud happens, so no worries. We have all been there and done that at least once, so don't feel alone!

Ditto Bubbles. I would consider that a minor error. Ha ha. How about this one. Your don't stir your lye enought so in the end you have a lye discount of.........oh............probably 20%.

Think of the bright side - you still have your wonderful new FO to use! LOL

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I really like the color combo, don't want to rebatch it or shred it... Oh well, it will be the 'naked' soap or I'll think of something else later... Will take a photo when it's ready to be cut!

Here is a photo of a recent soap (today!) that has embeds of a soap I forgot to fragrance that I made 2 weeks ago. I cut the unscented soap into pieces and put the slices in a new batch that was fragrance. Cut photos in a day or two!

Yup, but I have to think of a way to cut this round log, it's kind of big to be embed, it's 2.75" diameter round... Have to think of something unique.
