Here are a couple of the soaps I made today. The top one is made with Beach Daisies FO (I tried to make it look like the ocean on the beach) and the other is made with Vanilla Deluxe FO - no additional coloring. It looks like caramel! I also made a 100% coconut oil soap at 20% SF that was a complete flop so I rebatched it.

I love the beach daisy. It looks like the waves crashing on the sand.

Thank you SeaShore Crafts! I wasn't sure how it would turn out (since I have no clue what I'm doing!) but I was happy after I cut the loaf.

The other soap looks like caramel in person, but on here it looks like cheddar cheese!

thanks, mella. My vanilla one is dark brown this morning - like a chocolate bar. Smells nice too.

I love the vanilla one. There are times when I wish my vanilla would not turn brown. Great job Ljm!

This was my first try at using the texture sheet. I like it. Had some problems with this soap, some of the oils are leaking just alittle, but just in the ones I fragranced. I used the dragons blood FO and not sure I am in love with it. There was a swirl of red but the dragons blood ate it up???

Good looking soap! How did you get the textured sheet imprint on round soaps?

Remember the wilton fondent mats from the M&P forum? I took my round silicone mold and cut out circles of the mat to fit in the bottom of each circle. There was alot of trial and error with fitting a paper circle into each mold.... everyone of my scrapbook circle cutters would not give me the exact size I needed. Tried the bottom of every glass in the house, no go. And of course I no longer own a compass. So I just kept cutting and trimming until I got a template and then traced it on the mat and cut it out with sissors, tucked it in the mold with the design element facing up and poured in my soap. Since I took these photos I have trimmed the edges and I think that softens the look a little.

ljm, that would be even easier to cut, because straight lines are easier to draw then circles. I intend to cut a part of the mat for my wooden mold, that gives me 9 bars. I am thinking of getting another mat as soon as I get a 40% off coupon again. Right now I have soooo many projects (soap, crochet, sewing, work) that my head is spinning. I come to this forum to regroup
