coconut milk powder - has anyone used it in soap?

I was surfing the amazon.com site for goat milk powder and came across coconut milk powder. Has anyone used this in place of the canned coconut milk in their soap?

I have. I made a slurry out of it with some water that I held back from adding to lye.

That's good to know. It's less expensive than buying canned coconut milk, but I wasn't sure if it would work or not. Thanks, soapbuddy!

How much would one use ppo? What properties does the powder add to the soap? Curious minds!! TU

I was actually thinking about just mixing it per directions and using it in place of the water when I made my lye solution. I don't know if it has any beneficial properties or not! :oops:

I use 28 gms. in 8 ozs. of water for a 4 lb. batch. I dissolve the lye in minimum water required and add the milk as soon as my oils and lye water are mixed. I find I get lighter color this way.
