Teach Soap

I thought I would pass out! I think it went to far into light trace before I added my goat milk, so I ended up glopping it into the molds. It jelled withing 5 minutes, and is still hot 2 hours later. It smells awfully goaty in here! Ick and yuk!! Im not totally proud of it, but not completely ashamed of it! Just unmolded it, thankfully it came right out. I didnt realize it would shrink as much as it did so, I cut them a little thicker. With it being so stiff when I poured it, I thought it would have air pockets but nope. I got all of it poured and leveled as best I could and realized I was shaking LOL. I told my sister what I was doing, she said oh I love goats milk soap...hope she loves to also smell like one!
I dont know if I added the pics right, if not, Ill fix it tomorrow, Im exhausted!

I don't understand what you mean by "too far into light trace before I added my goat milk" . Are you saying that you dissolved the lye in water first, then added goat's milk at trace? That ammonia smell should go away as the soap cures. Congrats on your batch! Looking forward to your pics.

I think I was in all out trace. I wasnt looking at it right. It smells good this morning though, before I poured it I added a bit of patchouli, but not a lot. I cannot for the life of me see how to load a pic. They are in photobucket. I need it step by step

To post pictures from Photobucket, just hover over your uploaded photo and select "Share." A new window should open. Click the "Get link code" tab and select and copy the "IMG for bulletin boards and forums" full size link code (it starts with the [IMG] tag). Then just paste the link code in your post. You can preview your post before submitting it to make sure your photos show up. You can change the size of your upload by clicking "Customize your upload options" at the bottom of the "Upload now" window. At least, that's how I post pics from Photobucket.
