Ok, so I just read a post about how we should be more careful with EO's as opposed to FO's. I've looked all over and not found much info on Black Pepper EO use in soap. I guess I'm a weirdo, but I LOVE the smell of pepper, so I ordered the EO from BB. I'm planning to use this in CP soap at 1/2 oz per pound with coarsely ground black pepper added at trace. Any of ya'll experienced soapers see a problem with this? BTW, I don't have sensitive skin and this soap is just for me.

The therapeutic properties of black pepper include; analgesic, antiseptic, anti-spasmodic, anti-toxic, aphrodisiac, digestive, diuretic, febrifuge, laxative, rubefacient, tonic (especially of the spleen) and it has muscle relaxant properties as well.
It may cause irritation to sensitive skin, and using too much could over-stimulate the kidneys. It should be avoided in pregnancy due to its possible skin sensitizing effect.
It is invigorating and good for calming and grounding. It's used a lot in the perfume industry for the oriental touch that it adds to floral blends. It can be used in blended massage oils, or diluted in a bath to assist with circulation, bruises, rheumatoid arthritis and muscular aches and pains. In creams its used for tired aching limbs, sore muscles and rheumatoid arthritis.

Ground black pepper in soap could irritate the skin. I would use the EO, but maybe in a blend.
