@wildchild: lol...I just meant that I've been seeing lots of great soaps on here with embeds, multi-colored swirls/layers, etc...something I struggle with (both MP and CP) so I just keep it simple. Oh, and these are going to be gifts! :0)

Simple a lot of times is very beautiful I think the hearts are lovely.

It's been a while since I've posted something here on this thread! I've totally enjoyed going back and looking at everyone's gorgeous soaps. There's so much talent on this forum - great work, everybody!

Methree, love the scalloped hearts - the layers are perfect and pretty!

jrose, fantastic! What did you use for coloring? My granddtr is having a rainbow birthday party this spring when she turns 4. I have already been asked to crochet her a rainbow blanket, and this would be great for her as well. I love to do themed gifts.

Bubbles2, I mostly used BB's liquid colorants. I used the liquid red oxide (the brick red), liquid yellow, liquid green oxide, liquid blue, and liquid violet. I also used used their orange mica. To get the indigo shade, I mixed the violet with a touch of blue.

To get the slanted layers, I tilted my loaf mold at an angle and propped it up (I used a chunk of modeling clay). I poured my first six layers, and then for the final layer I set my mold level on the counter and poured.
