Teach Soap

It's official I'm hooked on soap. I just made my first batch of MP soap with a goat's milk base. OMG! I love, love it. I mixed Lavender EO, Orange Valencia EO, and some Vanilla Select as my fragrance. I also used Kokum butter, Virgin Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, and as an exfoliant I used organic lavender buds. I put in the soap in a cute flower mold and wow how cute. If my camera was'nt broke I would upload a pic.

Congratulations on your first bar of soap.You were very adventurous for a first timer with all your ingredients ,l can remember using base ,FO and a smidgen of color and thought l had created a masterpiece.
Just wondering if you realize that your lovely lavender will quickly turn into a good imitation of mouse droppings in Melt & Pour soap, its ok if the soap is just for yourself but if you plan to give any away its best to leave the dried lavender out.

LOL! Yeah I kinda forgot about that, I think I going to leave them out before I send to family and friends:) As for adventurous, yes I am, I have sooo many ideas for my soap:))

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

Winter Moon, I realized after posting this and making the soap that water and oil don't mix LOL! I guess I wanted to add the entire "kitchen sink" to my soap. I was thinking "Cold process", instead of Melt and Pour, but I guess that's wear experimentation comes in. You live, you learn:))

Well, you can add oils to your mp, it cuts down on the lather a bit, but I had just never heard of anyone adding coconut oil. I don't know where you get your mp from, but it may already have it in there.

Just to add to your experimenting, Olive oil, sunflower oil & shea butter is nice in soap, too Not all at once, though.
