Join your local Chamber of Commerce or issue a press release for your local paper. That helps to get the word out there.
If you call your local Chamber of Commerce, they might be able to tell you what craft shows are in the area too. :)

www.craftlister.com is a good one. I don't remember who gave me that link but I really like it so far. I haven't done any shows yet because I don't have the money to rent a booth but I plan on doing some. I also have had business cards made up. I got 250 from vistaprint.com for free (you pay for shipping). I just hand them to people randomly. I have left some at our chamber of commerce. Friends hand them out to people they know. Pass out fliers. I plan on printing some of mine and having my kids go pass them out around the neighborhood. They will love that in 100 degree temps! Then they can come home and jump in the pool. LOL!
